Welcome to FestiveWishes ("we", "us", or "our"). We run www.festivewishes.com — a completely free platform for creating beautiful, animated greeting cards across 25 occasions, from Birthdays and Diwali to Eid, Christmas, and everyday moments like Good Morning.

This Privacy Policy explains in plain language what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We are committed to protecting your information and will never sell or misuse it.

Information you provide:

• Card content — names and custom messages you type are processed locally in your browser to generate card images. This data never reaches our servers.
• Contact messages — if you email us, we receive your email address and message content solely to respond to you.

Information collected automatically:

• Anonymous usage analytics — pages visited, time on site, device type, and browser type, used to understand how people use the site in aggregate.
• Aggregate visit counter — we use CountAPI to count the total number of cards created. This records a single hit per event with no personal identifier attached.
• Server log data — our hosting provider may automatically log IP addresses, request timestamps, and referring URLs for security and performance diagnostics. Logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days, then deleted.

FestiveWishes uses your browser's local storage — not traditional cookies — for two lightweight purposes:

• Visit deduplication — we store today's date in localStorage (key: fw_visited_today) so that refreshing the page doesn't inflate the public card counter.
• Session counter — sessionStorage (key: fw_bumped) prevents double-counting within a single browser session.

This data stays entirely on your device, is never uploaded to us, and clears automatically after 24 hours or when your browser session ends.

We may also use standard analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics) to understand aggregate traffic patterns. These do not personally identify you.

FestiveWishes integrates with the following third parties, each governed by their own privacy policy:

• Google Fonts — we load Playfair Display and Nunito from Google's CDN. Google may log font requests. See Google Privacy Policy ↗.
• CountAPI (countapi.xyz) — an anonymous, aggregated hit counter. No personal data is linked to counter events.
• WhatsApp / WhatsApp Web — when you choose to share a card, you are redirected to WhatsApp's own platform. We receive no information about your contacts, chats, or messages. See WhatsApp Privacy Policy ↗.
• Web hosting provider — our hosting service may process server logs as described above under standard data processing agreements.

We do not embed advertising networks, tracking pixels, or social media widgets that harvest personal data.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep any data we hold secure:

• The entire site is served over HTTPS (TLS encryption) at all times
• Card content — names and messages — is generated client-side and never transmitted to our servers
• Server access logs are purged after 30 days
• FestiveWishes is entirely free — we hold no payment or financial data whatsoever

While we apply best-practice security, no internet transmission is 100% infallible. We advise against including sensitive personal information in card messages.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of the page. For significant changes, we will display a notice on the FestiveWishes homepage.

Your continued use of the site after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
